Ventia’s Motorways and Tunnels Contract are seeking an experienced Motorway Patroller to join their team across the M2 (Lane Cove/Macquarie Park). The successful applicant will be offered a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday with occasional weekend and night work.

About the role

  • Operate a tow truck when required to assist the team with any breakdowns or incidents
  • Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning on associated buildings/structures
  • Operate the TMA vehicle to assist with removal of disabled vehicles and other obstructions from the motorway
  • Assist members of the public affected by incidents on the motorway, including the provision of first aid and firefighting when it is safe to do so
  • Liase with and support emergency services personnel as required
  • Implement traffic control measures as required for maintenance activities or as a consequence of motorway incidents
  • Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning work as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor

 

About you

  • MR Drivers license or higher
  • White card & Tow Truck license
  • Traffic Guidance Scheme Tickets (TGS)
  • TMA Experience
  • Willingness to work overtime occasionally
  • Basic computer skills
